AT THE SITE OF THE HISTORIC CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY, THE IRON DISTRICT OPENS A NEW DOOR TO OUR CITY’S VIBRANT CULTURE

To connect the burgeoning activity of the South End and Uptown’s stadium and museum district, we are assembling a team of leading architects, real estate developers and hometown visionaries to deliver a complete neighborhood.  As our efforts come to life, the Iron District will include places to live and work, as well as immersive public spaces, local restaurants, and a collection of interesting shops.

We are striving to fill the shoes of our site’s industrious history, focused on quality, consistency, and safety, on a rare 56-acre urban site where the infrastructure and masterplanning is managed by one team and one owner.

POTENTIAL PROGRAM DETAILS

Iron District will be a mixed-use, high-density neighborhood adjacent to Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC.
While we continue work on our 56-acre masterplan, Phase 1 is planned to break ground in early 2026, and the details of our program are beginning to take shape:

IRON DISTRICT HISTORY

CHARLOTTE PIPE AND FOUNDRY HELPED BUILD AMERICA

Iron District is located on the grounds of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, one of America’s most celebrated industrial innovators. For over a century, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry evolved and improved its offerings and processes without losing a commitment to family, loyalty, and quality. Today, as a fifth-generation family-owned and-operated business, it is still making products that protect the health of the nation.
